Question by ..$ ..: Mexico and United States of America?
Mexicans you all are very mistaken if you believe that coming to the United States you’ll have a way better life, the truth is there is no better life then living in your own home country! No excuses! One receives no abuse or discrimination! As they receive in the United States! You should be proud of being Mexican! Because truth is you are just like us or even better! Mexicans you cannot heal your problems by running away from them and hoping life will be better in the U.S., Mexicans must stand up for their people and their country and I know you can do it. If you do not want to put yourself in danger, do not cross the border illegally, its not worth it. Its nothing to be proud of to cross the border illegally obviously you have no shame. All the suffering that is described does not justify violations of the US law. Not only people from Mexico, but also those of Canada, China, Jamaica, etc. The legal americans have a right to be upset, but you are more then welcomed to come here legally. And the truth is the USA does profit from all you, the hardworking ones and again you are more then welcomed to be here but you must do it legally.

Im a American, but I know very well from being a professor of world history that there is not one word that can describe the Mexicans and their country its a very big and beautiful country with diverse people from different levels, in all countries there are rich and poor, in all countries there are corrupt politicians, but also there is something that is not in the books, which is the human quality of the Mexicans, if I had to leave my country for whatever reason, without hesitation I would go to Mexico, the warmth of its people is seen and transmitted in every thing they to do, God bless you, friends!

Mexico is a vast country full of natural beauties which cannot be seen in any other part of the world. What does it mean to be Mexican? What is the pride that comes from the heart of belonging to a country like your? Is it the rich culture, the rich cuisine, the rich history, rich tradition, gastronomy, architecture, beautiful scenery the diversity, the spirit of the people, the millions of men and women who get up every day to get ahead in life, the millions of hearts, the millions of minds, the warmth of the people, the people are very caring, enthusiastic, hardworking, friendly, cheerful, unity, etc. Being Mexican is everything……. Mexico has much to offer.

Now with all of what I said is very unique and should not be taken for granted, but why leave that behind and go to the USA and leave Mexico, don’t let Mexico hit rock bottom instead take the pride and change it around and show that Mexico is the best. What needs to be stopped is the violence that was brought by the drug cartels, and the corruption there must be a major reform with the Mexican government in order for the corruption to be stopped. The change can happen nothing is impossible for the Mexicans, and the USA is here to help. Mexico is a country like no other its probably the best and yet you don’t know it, but there is hope for Mexico, I see Mexico as a emerging power. VIVA MEXICO! SI SE PUEDE!

Question by I’m gonna start another riot: Can somebody explain why Mexico would even have drug rehab centers since Mexico says its only a US problem?
Even for regular families with addicts, drug centers can be ugly places. Parents commit unruly adolescents or even their adult children against their will for months at a time. Beatings are often part of therapy, hygiene can be poor and lax enforcement of regulations prevails.

No one knows how many drug rehabilitation clinics and treatment centers there are. The Mexican government is expanding a series of Nueva Vida rehab centers for teenagers, erected since 2007 with $ 205 million confiscated from a Shanghai -born drug trafficker.

However, it largely leaves the work of treating hardened addicts to nonprofit associations, some run by former addicts with little training. Many treatment centers are semi-clandestine, hidden behind walls with no signs.

A significant number of centers never register with the government. The former addicts who run them ask few questions of those who arrive for treatment, seeking nominal payment from family members.

Demand is high due to soaring drug use. A U.N. report last year estimated that 1.7 million Mexicans use cocaine, consuming 27.6 tons a year, nearly double the amount in 2002. Mexicans consume 3.9 tons of heroin a year, it added. Some 3 million Mexicans smoke marijuana, also a significant rise from earlier in the decade.

Officials put the number of drug addicts in the nation at 428,000.

President Felipe Calderon said drug cartels focused on Mexico as a market after per capita income tripled since 1993 to more than $ 10,000 last year nationwide and as much as $ 18,000 in Monterrey , a prosperous industrial hub near the border with Texas .

“This new purchasing power in the society has made the criminals modify their plans, turning from low-profile exporters to the United States to distributing and placing drugs in the big and small cities of this country,” Calderon said in a speech June 26 .

Zamudio estimated that more than half of those in drug treatment centers are there against their will, sent by family members with the help of police.

At most centers, hardened addicts are made to go cold turkey.

“There are multiple accounts of abuses occurring in drug abuse treatment centers, suggesting an urgent need for more regulation by the government and a more rigorous certification for the centers that operate. Using fear and the threat of physical abuse is no way to treat an addiction,” said Maureen Meyer , associate for Mexico and Central America at the Washington Office on Latin America , a human rights advocacy group.

Question by ?: How can the Mexican Government sue the border patrol?
I keep reading that the mexican drug smuggler involved in the beating of Ramos and Compean border patrol agents intends to sue the Border Patrol. How is this possible?

I thought the US government could not be sued…?

Also, if that is the case, can the US government counter-sue the Mexican government for the millions of illegal aliens living in our country?
