Question by Miz D: What’s the best way to deal with an alcoholic family member?
Lots of anger, blames his problems on everyone but himself, uses any excuse to get drunk, etc. If you’ve had to deal with this situation I would appreciate hearing your advice.

Britney has a broken heart. Her husband cheated on her with a stripper. He may not be much but he was her husband and the father of her children and she loved him. She is in a lot of pain and unfortunately she has to go through this with everyone in the world watching. She will be okay. Just give her some time.

Question by hubhubhi12: Do I have a drug problem?
I huff and I use prescribed narcotics when I don’t need them. I know it’s completely idiotic of me and I know the danger but I just can’t justify it. No one in my life knows this is going on. Should I tell someone? I don’t want them to be disappointed because I just overcame a 6 year battle with bulimia and I’m not like the other 17 year olds my age I don’t do it for fun. I really don’t know what to do…sorry this is so long.

Please stop. You don’t need to tell anyone if you can stop immediately. Use something harmless like weed. You are going to have many problems when you are older if you continue this abuse. Anyone that disagrees does not know their information.

Question by Dad: have jayz and beyonce ever contributed to society?
I see them will all the millions and not doing anything. You can bring fresh water to 20,000 people with just 100,000 dollars. What have they done with their money???

I’m sure they’ve done a lot of good things with their money but they don’t flaunt it. Also the press don’t like to show any good a celebrity does, Michael Jackson was always donating millions and helping countless charities and they rarely mentioned it. 🙂

Question by Kirk: What is the medical and legal definition of “narcotics abuse”?
If a patient suddenly discovered he had been given a diagnoses of “narcotics abuse”, what does that mean? It’s a false claim and it needs further investigation, and moreover, an explanation. But ,can you break it down for me? It immediately conjures up an extremely negative connotation for me.

Let’s start at the basics. Narcotics are any of a group of drugs, such as heroin, morphine, and pethidine, that produce numbness and stupor. They are used medicinally to relieve pain but are sometimes also taken for their pleasant effects. Prolonged use may cause addiction, which leads to the abuse.

The definition of abuse would be “misuse, maltreatment, or excessive use.” So, the overindulgence in and dependence on said substance, leading to effects that are detrimental to the individual’s physical or mental health, or the welfare of others, would be defined as narcotics abuse.

In other words, narcotic use is considered abuse when people use narcotics to seek feelings of well-being apart from the narcotic’s pain-relief applications.
